Forum geografic is a peer-reviewed international journals that has been published since 2002 by the Department of Geography of the University of Craiova, Romania. Its content is directed to a broad audience, including both academics and policymakers.
Aims and scope
Forum geografic aims to publish high quality research in the domains of geography, as well as geosciences and social sciences that mainly use, but are not limited to geographic approaches (human, physical, nature and society as well as GIScience). Although initially the journal published research from and about Europe, it gradually extended its reach and currently, it welcomes research papers from all over the world on a range of issues such as geomorphology, pedology, climatology, hydrology, tourism, population geography, human settlements and environment protection.
Access to articles
Forum geografic is an open-access journal, publishing electronic articles in open-access mode (i.e. no fees for readers and no article processing charges or publication fees for authors). The journal does not charge any fee for peer review management, journal production, online hosting and archiving to authors or their institutions. Since the journal runs exclusively on the volunteer efforts of the members of the Geography Department from the University of Craiova and fellow peers worldwide, the understanding, patience as well as proper work ethic of the current and prospective authors is highly appreciated.

Forum geografic publishes two issues per year.
